How to use these story notes
Write the essentials
Fill in your characters, relationship, last scene and what should happen next. Start with the fictional example if you need an idea.
Keep a copy
Copy your brief or download it as a .txt file. Save it before closing or switching languages.
Use it in a chat app
Where an app accepts your own character notes or a scene prompt, paste the relevant parts. Start a short scene and check what it remembers.
This is a manual worksheet. It does not connect to your accounts, read your chats or transfer a conversation automatically.
A brief is not a chat archive
This worksheet formats the notes you enter. It does not generate a summary from your chat history, retrieve deleted messages or import data into another service. Your notes stay in this tab’s memory; closing or refreshing the page clears them. Copy or download before leaving.
What makes a useful story brief?
Keep concrete details: what the character wants, what changed between the characters, the world rules that cannot be broken, and the last thing that happened. Finish with a clear next scene. Avoid collecting every line of dialogue; the aim is a brief you can read and adapt.
Use your own original character notes and remove any private information you do not want in the saved file. For a full Character.AI archive, use the official export process separately.
Use your brief in a new scene
After saving your notes, try one short scene where you can provide your own context. Check the character’s voice and relationships before continuing. Downloading only saves a file on your device; the link below opens another experience without sending your notes or recreating a character automatically.
